昨日は節分でした。そして今日は立春。
実際には２月は最も寒い月ですが、日も長くなってきていますし、草木の蕾も付き始めるこの時期は、春を日に日に感じられちょっと嬉しくなります。
今日はこの節分を英語で説明してみます。
Setsubun is the day before the beginning of spring, summer, fall and winter and we call the first day of spring "Risshun".
節分は各季節の始まりの日で、春の始まりの日を立春といいます。
The meaning of "Setsubun"is "division the seasons."
節分は季節を分ける、という意味です。
Back in the day, the Japanese new year started on Risshun, so Risshun is the most special day.
