11月に入りましたが、まだまだ昼間は暖かいですね。
天気予報では、今週末から気温が一気に下がると言っているので、そろそろ紅葉も見頃になるかもしれません。
今回はこの紅葉にまつわる単語やセンテンスをご紹介します。
紅葉は英語で、autumn leaves, fall leaves, autumn foliage, fall foliage, autumn colors, fall colorsと言います。
紅葉はJapanese maplesです。

紅葉を見に行く習慣がない国の人には、次のように説明したら分かりやすいと思います。
日本には、秋に"紅葉狩り"という習慣があります。
"Momijigari" means fall foliage which is going to see beautiful colored leaves.
紅葉狩りはとは、綺麗に色づいた葉を見に行くことです。
Because Japan is slender in the north and south, the best time of fall foliage is depend on which area you are belonging to, but in general it continue the peak from middle of October till the middle of November.
日本は南北に細長いので、紅葉が最も綺麗な時期は場所によって異なりますが、だいたい10月中旬から11月中旬が見頃です。

この辺りでは、寸又峡や香嵐渓が有名です。
