昨日は節分でしたね。
小さなクラスでは、鬼のお面を作って
豆まきをしました。
節分は中国から伝わった文化で、
欧米ではあまり馴染みのないものです。
中国には大昔から疫病をもたらす鬼を
魔除けの力がある穀物で追い払う、
という習慣があるようです。
折角なので、節分を簡単な表現で
説明してみます。
Sestubin is February 3rd. 節分は２月３日です。
It is a day to devide the season. 節分は季節を分ける日です。
According to old Calender, after Setsubun people
think that spring has come.
旧カレンダーでは、人々は節分が過ぎると
春になった、と考えます。
The folloing day is called Risshun which means
the day spring starts.
次の日は立春で、この日から春が始まります。
On Sttsubun day, people do "throwing roasted beans
event" calld "Mamemaki".
節分の日には、人々は豆まきと呼ばれる炒った豆
を投げるイベントを行います。
As they throw beans, they say "Oniwa soto, Fukuwa uchi"
which means damons out, happiness in.
豆を投げながら”鬼は外、福は内” と掛け声をかけます。
It is said if you eat as many beans as your age, you can stay
healthy for that year.
その日に歳の数だけ豆を食べると、その年は健康に
過ごせる、と言われています。
